Individual Clients

An initial intake session is necessary to create the foundation upon which future sessions will build. During the intake session, Om Advantage and the client will discuss the presenting conditions and symptoms, and prioritize goals. Assessments will be performed to better understand how conditions and symptoms present in the musculoskeletal body, posture, gait, and daily life.

Experience has shown that commitment and consistency proffer the best results. Therefore, it is recommended to schedule weekly, 60-minute sessions. Om Advantage advocates that client sessions be scheduled for a minimum of six weeks to ensure progress toward goals, along with the dedicated establishment of new lifestyle changes to maintain the path of wellness.

Services will be provided at a predetermined, safe and accessible location agreed upon by both parties.

Once this knowledge transfer occurs, Om Advantage will design a program uniquely catered to your organization’s short and long-term goals. Experience has shown that commitment and consistency of all parties involved in this plan proffer the best results.

School Sites (Student & Special Needs Populations; Educational Trainings; and, Professional Development)

Om Advantage services focus on supporting the rehabilitation of adolescents touched by traumatic events, which often produce conditions of anxiety ranging from mild to severe. To create unified and consistent messaging and support, yoga services extend to include those key members involved in the child’s life: parents, siblings, teachers, school administrators, and other healthcare providers. The goal of Om Advantage is to empower these valuable members of society toward a lifestyle of wellness and empowerment.

The youth population in our schools and communities are subject to an immense level of peer, family, and societal pressures on a daily basis. A 2011 National Institutes of Health (NIH) study, “The Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences on an Urban Pediatric Population,1 examined the effect of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and found that traumatic experiences lay claim to a child’s developing mind and body; the consequences increase risk for learning and behavior problems. Resulting effects are compounded exponentially depending on the intensity, quantity, and repetitive nature of these childhood experiences.

Mind-body therapies demonstrate relief from symptoms associated with generalized anxiety disorders, as well as potential comorbidities, such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorders.

With practice, one can begin to recognize and reduce the biopsychosocial symptoms associated with a generalized anxiety disorder that trigger health issues, adverse behavior, and self-destructive life choices. Unaddressed, symptoms may intensify over time. By learning how to reset the mind, breath, and body to more calmly and intentionally respond in the moment to challenging experiences and memories, an individual can reclaim a foothold in life.

Sessions are held at the school or organization site, or at a pre-determined, safe, and accessible location.

Themed Workshops and Conferences

Themed workshops or conference presentations are crafted with specific themes (breath, meditation, movement) and/or to support specific conditions (i.e. Yoga for Cancer Survivors; Breath & Meditation Techniques for Anxiety.)

Workshops will be held at a predetermined, safe and accessible location agreed upon by both parties.
