Jeff Kaminski is the Founder and Owner of Om Advantage and a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). He currently serves as Vice Chair on the inaugural Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Committee of the IAYT, which was established to uphold the organization’s commitment to DEIA. The committee also advises IAYT on its DEIA-focused strategic initiatives and DEI competencies. Additionally, Jeff has also served as adjunct faculty and clinic supervisor in the Master of Science in Yoga Therapy program at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH).

Jeff's yoga path unofficially began in childhood as an exploration of ways to release anxiety from the mind and body. Later, he learned this intuitively aligned with a dedicated yoga practice

In 2000, his yoga journey more formally began at Monkey Yoga Shala in Oakland, CA. Both humbled and captivated by the physical and mental challenge, Jeff continued returning to the mat to build and hone a practice with different Bay Area studios. In 2010, he relocated to Boston and found a home at Be In Union Yoga in Union Square, where he subsequently earned his E-RYT 200-hour Empowerment Vinyasa Yoga certification. Washington, DC, became home in 2015, and his yoga journey deepened exponentially upon entering the Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Jeff's educational journey also encompasses a BA in Communications and a certification in American Sign Language. His career experience spans years in the public school sector designing behavior and communication strategies for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and neurodivergent populations; communication and program/project management in higher education and associations; and, yoga instruction shared with public classes and private clients.

Jeff believes in the transformative process of yoga, each step of the journey revealing and strengthening a better-understood iteration of Self. His mission is being of service through the collaborative and empowering process of healing by utilizing the yogic elements of breath, mindfulness, and movement; evidence-based research; and, a sense a humor.
